DVD-R Recorder Media Center

I'm putting up recorded TV on their traditional format with years since.

I think there have been about 3 or 4 years ago when I decided I to do without the VHS, it was a sad day leave some of the movies I heard on the video tape, but it was a relief not only lose the need to save this great biblical monster of the house but also to remove the triple wired dinosaurs are the living room. Well this old relic of my youthwas replaced with a regular DVD player and soon took my DVD collection in earnest.

The problem is that I do not really want to save not great concepts of digital media. My music was all down to 320kbps MP3 compressed my photos are now all on DVD's and burned in triplicate.

So I start converting my DVD's and rip them to my hard drive. Problem is that long ago I have almost 60 gig of movies and really I prefer them on my TV than on the ClockPC screen. Then a solution occurs to me, a complete home entertainment solution.

I need mass storage and it was only a question would be the time until I found a solution.

There I was, DVD Recorders, one might as wanted to do everything, and here it is: Philips Hard disc DVD recorder with hard drive 250gig.

First I have them in my networked PC, and drew over 80 gig of movies in DivX format (the film is about 100). Share my pictures for therecent years (around 30 gig) format were imported and 30 gig of music in MP3 format to join the party.

Next I connected the DVDr recorder to my TV (unfortunately I'm not the owner of a flat screen TV, but that is surely only a matter of time) and piped in audio connection to my home stereo.

The results are excellent, although I do not even explored this impressive unit capacity - and it's this beautiful thing Plus Video capable - I now have a completeHome Media Center at a very attractive price.
