In this tutorial we will learn how to install a primary hard drive. The primary drive is your main drive, not just a secondary drive. Installing a secondary drive is similar, but you need a different set your drive. Make sure your documents have to reach at all times.
Learning how to install as a component disk is not computer-heavy, but good preparation is the key to a smooth experience.
BeforeBeginning, you should completely shut down your computer. Also, you should use the power switch to OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet.
1. Remove the container and put your drive jumper
The first task is to drive to open the computer case, so that you can install hard. The way to do this varies, but most modern cases with a mini-tower design and side panels that are bolted to the chassis.
They areNeed the plate that sits on the Main Board find and remove the screws in the back to the panel of film. If you have an older computer design, you must remove all the screws on the back and then slide out the chassis.
Next, you need to configure your hard disk. To install hard drive components correctly, you need to jumper your drive. Back of the drive you will find on the 'pairs of metal pins pointing to different positions. Ita bridge over the pins in one of these settings.
Ask your documents. Basically, if you install the first and only trip you will bridge the "Cable Select". (If you are installing more than one drive, you would select "Master" for the main drive.)
2. Put the drive in Case
Once the drive is configured, you are ready, place it in the trap. Examine the design of your case to see what your Options are available here.
In your case, what is known as a drive bay. Some of the newfangled case designs offer a removable version of this drive shaft or cage. If you find that you yourself lucky. It is much easier to know how computer components if you do not have to poke around in case all the time to install.
If you have a removable bay, remove it now. Align the mounting holes on the drive shaft with the mounting holes on your hard disk> Drive and then screw it. If you happen case, insert the drive bay back in and screw it back on.
However, if you do not have a removable bay, it is not lost. Just plug the hard drive in the drive bay, align the mounting holes and screw together. It's not that difficult, it is just a bit of hand-eye coordination.
3. Attach all cables
Of course, install hard drive components, or any otherComponents for that matter, you must attach cable somewhere. In the case of hard drive you need to attach an IDE cable motherboard from the motherboard, then attach the power cord.
First you install the IDE cable to the motherboard. For your added convenience of the IDE cable is color-coded for you. It is usually blue on the bottom and also has a red stripe on the side. This cable is inserted into the motherboard from the IDE0 (primary) or IDE1(Secondary) connector.
As an additional control to ensure that the end of the cable with the red stripe line with the back of the motherboard, called "Pin 1". Once you're done, connect the other end of the IDE cable to the hard disk. Connect the black controller, and be sure that the red stripe "1" is aligned with pin on your hard disk.
Finally, the four-pin connector plug from the power supply into the back of your hard drive and you're done!
4.Close Up and Power Up
Now it is time to close and turn on. Restoring the case panel removed earlier or push the computer case in the computer case.
Screw it back on, turn on the switch to the position and fix the power cable. Turn the computer back on.
At this point, your system BIOS will recognize that a new hard disk has been attached.
You may need to properly configure the BIOS recognize the hard drive or at least some carespecific settings. As we always say, ask your documents and their instructions followed. A large part of our instructions for computer components to install are on the line, but you have to tweak some settings depending on the manufacturer.
Conclusion
Learning to install the units hard drive is not difficult for a mechanical point of view. It can be done very easily.
However, it is more than one installation. The drive unit must be properlyconfigured. Jumper settings must be set properly, and then after that BIOS must recognize the new drive. Then, you will then need to format to your drive and reinstall your operating system.
As you can see which are the basic installation there are a number of additional details. Therefore we have to have patience and to promote this step by step instructions - and as always read the manual!
