First laser plotter in action

This is a video of the first high-speed, high accuracy, large format laser plotter in action (late 1970s). (There is no sound.) The micro-meters around the plate provides the setting for the laminated thickness of the various media such as film, glass, printed circuit panels, which have been a photo finish. The high power density, argon-ion UV-laser light source could be attenuated exposed on film, applied full power for photoresist or, as shown here to get instant image DuPont visualize watermarks proof paper, which was used to exposeCheck board layout and design. The laser scan was 18 cm wide and accurate to one thousandth of an inch over the entire 18 "by 24" area. The image is 2 minutes and had 500 times faster than the fastest plotter was available. The existing hard disks and tape speeds could not deliver the data rate required. The original Gerber format was converted vector data to raster data and compressed to an IBM mainframe. The data were then specifically in real time from a decompresseddecompressor designed microprocessor board in a Digital Equipment PDP-11 computer. EOCOM soon developed the first raster image processor (RIP) to vector data and text to shapes, which were then converted to data in real time by the RIP-grid to grid supply is necessary to convert the data rate. This first laser plotter was built by my data EOCOM Corporation for Western Electric. EOCOM then sold them for 3 / 4 million U.S. dollars (1970 money).

CD-DVD Duplication Makes You store music in a more permanent digital format

Music plays an important role in people's lives. Music makes life meaningful. He shares the joys and sorrows we experience in our everyday life. In other words, it makes us whole as we are on the bumpy road of life.

Music format has gone ages ago a long way since then. For humans, the generations have gone through several, many of them before all the music lovers are aware, such as music and saved way back then, as various formats have developedOver the years. From the recorded music be the old days, the cassettes to CDs and DVDs, it's amazing to think how technology has helped format advanced process of storing music in digital multimedia.

About how music is stored on a CD, it really is, that audio tracks are stored. These are the audio files in. Cda file formats, the music stores can be found on music CDs sold on. Different CD formats are used in storing data on one, but the most commonespecially in the CD and DVD copying or printing, the CD-DA (audio) and CD-ROM (PC data).

The process of encoding data on a CD is quite complex, but we will explain the procedure in a simpler way for your understanding. First is a single spiral track of data is on a CD. This track begins in the middle of the disc is moved outside and made consists of bumps.

Data (songs) is recorded by the bumps on a CD. Subcode is used to encode the laser position in theand the song title track. used to minimize the misinterpretation of dents or errors, error-correcting codes. To access the CD drive to easily recover a burst error on a scratched CD, incorporation of the data done by the disc.

Compared to the CD, the DVD (Digital Versatile Disc or video) has a greater capacity in terms of duration, the number of songs that can be saved and the quality of the audio. The process of storing data is quite similar, though. The best partHowever, the fact that not only music on a DVD, but also music videos can be saved. This provides an exciting experience for all music fans.

In fact, the latest trend in the music industry makes use of CDs and DVDs. Many record companies really have a unique package that introduced a CD album includes a bonus DVD that contains several music videos of the featured artists. This latest type of CD packaging format eventually led to the emergence of the DualDisc.DualDisc refers to a single disc in a variety of formats and DVD players can play and all types of CD. It also provides a great DVD features such as surround sound and visuals and data that can be read by computers.

As his music continues to be a part of life, there will always be great opportunities for CD and DVD production, whether used for business or personal purposes. Let us rejoice then, that music in our midst, even to be in eternity.

High Speed by Coldplay (Cover)

Another brilliant track off Parachutes;) So much UCH o de la e D ayy xD but that makes it so cool! In the end, the video starts lagging behind and is in sync with the sound, I do not know why ... perhaps because the effect I used .... or maybe because I changed the video format twice XD Have fun! ;) ----------------------------------------- Settings on my Zoom G2 i used u 0.1 Effects Pedal COMPRESSOR: ON Sense: 4 Attack: FS Level: 50 WAH / EFX: BS - Booster Position / Depth: 3 Rate / Freq: 6 Level / Mix:80 ZNR - Noise-nr: - ZNR Threshold: 7 DRIVE: FC - Fender Clean Gain: 60 Sound: 10 Level: 100 EQ: On bass: 3 Middle: 3 Treble: -2 extra EQ / Cabinet & Mic: Cb - Cabinet mic Mid & Lo / Mic-type: dy Presence / Mic pos: 0 MOD / SFX: DL - Delay Depth / Time: 40 Price / Feedback: 86 Reso / Mix: 70 DELAY: DL - Delay Depth / Time: 40 Price / Feedback 54 Reso / Mix: 60 REVERB: HL - Hall Decay: 10 Tone: Mix 5: 60

How data is stored on a hard drive

When a file is stored on a computer, the data are stored on the hard disk platter's magnetic coating. This magnetic coating on the plates of the "glue" is that your data is preserved. Any damage to that magnetic coating means that lead to data loss as each piece of missing coating contains data. Such a record is missing a little the coating has a better chance of a successful data recovery as opposed to a plate, which has large amounts of that magnetic coating removed or has had, destroyed.

Hard Drive Failure Parts

Typical components that do not include the hard drive:

Plate surface or spindle Platters turned by an electric motor. The speed of this rotation is measured in revolutions per minute (RPM) and the higher the performance of the hard drive ... the higher the speed is increased, the reading and writing data on disks. Any surface contact to the plates can cause serious damage tothe magnetic strip which contains data. This includes dust, finger prints, water, and most important of all, the heads of the hard disk. Platter damage is the worst kind of damage that lead to the failure disk.

Heads (Head Crash) When the disk usage is not active, the heads are parked back to the hard drive needs to read or write data. It is on this head moves outside the super thin air layer between the plates, which causesto bring the head to crash and touches the disk platter.

Firmware Firmware is the program instructions located on the chips on the Printed Circuit Board (PCB). Each firmware version is on its hard drive type and each hard drive can specifically go through dozens of firmware revisions to increase the performance of that particular manufacturer's drive 's. The older the hard drive, the more difficult it could be that you have a working firmware forspecific hard disk model.

Printed Circuit Board (PCB) The PCB of the hard drive is the electronics of the hard disk, manages and operates the hard drive. If a board is damaged, it often replaced drive with an identical PCB with the same firmware on the original disk. Typically PCB damage by water or fire, but there are other reasons why a PCB would fail. And many times failed PCB affect other aspects like firmware orHeads.

Types of Hard Drive Failure

In general, if one disk fails it is because one of the following reasons:

Media Failure Otherwise), known as a head crash (as described above, the heads of the hard drive have physically touched and damaged the magnetic coating on the plates.

Mechanical failure of general electronic errors on the hard drive is all in thisCategory. require fire, water, electrical damage to the hard drive would "parts" replaced.

PCB Failure As described above, PCB failure falls in the mechanical failure type and typically can be "outsourced PCB" for a same for each disk type. Together with the correct firmware for the drive circuit board repair can substitute one kind of a hard disk when the disk is an older model.

Logical Drive Failure This type of hard drive failure is usually the least harmful to the data. of error usually means that the operating system of the computer (or utilities) drive has, can not see them marked This type allocated space, but because the computer has the MFT is corrupted or damaged, data can not read. hard drive failure of this type is not destructive and the chances for a successful full data Recovery are high.

Types of Non-Mechanical Hard Drive Failure

Other causes of data loss and why data recovery would have the following information be included:

Natural Disasters Extreme weather conditions which are out of our control can have a bad day even worse. If your computer was lost in the water by a flood, scorched by fire or near a lightning strike, there is a chance to recover data from hard disk> Drive.

The Human Factor accidental deletion of files, formatting the wrong hard drive, and try operating system upgrade only that there are no common problems that arise. Also, as careful as most people are using their laptops, small drop from the couch to the floor or down a staircase, is a kind of violent shaking on the drive, drive, hard disk can cause serious damage to thePlates.

E-mail viruses are typical, as most viruses are spread from computer to computer. Also questionable web sites visited, the scripts, malware or spyware included waiting on your system and put your data at risk. It is recommended to run the latest anti-virus software to protect your data from these types of data loss and the need for data recovery as a service to reduce demand.

So how do you protect yourself, you lose your data? Back it up!However, you should still require data recovery, be sure to use the recovery company specializing on a data disk.

Western Digital My Book Essential Edition 1TB

Western Digital My Book Essential Edition is a pillar of the WD external hard drive area for a number of years. In this article we take a look at the 1TB drive, which is the most popular product in the range. The model number is WDH1U10000E.

Above all, the drive is well packed and comes with a USB cable, AC adapter, quick guide and the drive. After unpacking the My Book Essential Edition 1 TB is looking for a great> Drive with a very slim-looking case. It will certainly look good on the desk and can be positioned either horizontally or vertically. Installation was easy, simply connect the data cable and power cable and the PC restart. Your computer operating system will recognize the drive automatically installs the necessary drivers without having to do something. The drive itself already comes with some trial software, consisting of backup and sync loading utilities. It is up to the user whether they feelNeed to install it, but they are not necessarily for the use of the drive. Please note that the Western Digital My Book comes with a two-year manufacturer's warranty.

In My Book Essential use is very quiet and does not generate much heat to the housing to be only lukewarm, the touch, even after prolonged use. The only issue we found was the lack of a power button. The hard drive turns on with your PC, but it would be nice to switch it off if they do notrequired.

Western Digital comes factory in the FAT32 file system, the limitations on the maximum file size that can be stored, places formatted. The limit is 4 GB, so if you plan on using the WD for storing large files (video) files, for example, then you should consider reformatting to NTFS file system before using it. It is possible to convert intact the drive while keeping data, but it is much easier to do it before you use it. RightClicking on the drive in My Computer and use the "quick format" option is the best way to do this, and it should take only a few minutes. The full format option would take much longer, with the only difference being that the various sectors of the disk is checked for errors - something that is not required on a new drive. If you are using Linux (or Ubuntu) on your PC will be compatible with NTFS. For Mac users, the computer will sort theFormatting for you when you connect for the first time. WD usually not Mac versions of their products, which will have sorted out the formatting directly from the factory.

Transfer speeds are quite fast over USB 2.0 in and are on par with the competition with a 2GB file transfer in less than five minutes. The drive also works on the USB 1.1 interface, but much more slowly than earnings. There is no support for the upcoming USB 3.0 system.

Overall, I would definitelyrecommended that the WD My Book Essential Edition 1 TB.
